Tolly joined us Friday night, and has been staying in my office. He's an incredibly sweet and responsive kitty, will come over to see you if you talk to him or even click your tongue at him, and is just so grateful for every scrap of attention we can lavish on him.
The poor guy still has kind of a 'wild animal' look to him - scruffy fur and an underweight physique. We don't know how long he lived in his last environment, before he was rescued and brought to the home of his first foster mama, but it's going to take a while, with good nutrition and proper care, for him to fill out. Things are definitely moving in the right direction, though :)

Hooray! Welcome, Wild Man Tolly!
Oh, so exciting!! Welcome welcome!!
Remind me: are you fostering him, or is he yours forever? Is there a difference??
We are 'fostering with the intent to adopt' - which is essentially a 'try before you buy' arrangement that this rescue organization has. It lets you bring kitty into the home and see how s/he does with everyone else - and only commit to the adoption after you are sure that it will work out for all of the creatures involved.
If it doesn't work out, the original foster mama will take him back.
In the meantime, he gets a quiet room of his own with a bottomless bowl filled with high quality food, tons of attention, a variety of toys, daily brushing sessions (he loves to be brushed!), etc., so it will be beneficial for him regardless of whether it is temporary or permanent.
Of course we hope Echo and Truffle okay him as their new brother!
Thank you for explaining! I hope he fits in well!!
